### Reforming Criminal Justice
I believe we are more than our mistakes and that everyone deserves opportunities to rebuild their lives. The deep disparities in our country’s criminal legal system have long perpetuated injustice, particularly for people of color. This is a deeply personal issue for me, and I am committed to fighting for meaningful reform while ensuring public safety and supporting our law enforcement.
The legacies of the war on drugs, mass incarceration, and the imposition of cash bail have devastated communities, tearing families apart and stripping individuals of their futures. These disastrous policies have disproportionately impacted people of color, creating cycles of poverty and incarceration that are difficult to break.
At the same time, we must recognize the critical role that law enforcement plays in keeping our communities safe. Supporting our police officers with the resources, training, and community relationships they need is essential to building trust and ensuring that justice is served fairly and equitably.
We must address these injustices head-on by reforming sentencing laws, ending discriminatory practices, and eliminating cash bail, which unfairly punishes those who cannot afford to pay. It’s also crucial to invest in programs that provide education, job training, and support for those reentering society—because everyone deserves a second chance.
In District 61, I am committed to advocating for a criminal justice system that is fair, equitable, and focused on rehabilitation, not just punishment. Together, we can build a system that supports law enforcement, upholds public safety, and recognizes the humanity in everyone, offering real opportunities for redemption and growth.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated what was already a housing crisis, leaving many of our neighbors unhoused. We must take urgent action to ensure that everyone in Rhode Island and Pawtucket has access to quality, stable, and affordable housing.
While our city is experiencing exciting developments, like the new stadium and train station, we must be vigilant to ensure that these advancements do not come at the cost of our residents. No one should be priced out or displaced from their homes and communities due to rising costs.
I am committed to advocating for policies that protect tenants, increase the supply of affordable housing, and prevent homelessness. We need a comprehensive approach to housing that prioritizes the needs of our most vulnerable residents and ensures that everyone has a place to call home.
Together, we can create a future where Housing for All is not just a goal, but a reality—a future where every person in our community has the security and dignity of a safe, stable home.

Every human has the right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, and that includes the right to make decisions about reproductive health. I will always support a woman’s right to choose and will fight tirelessly to ensure that reproductive healthcare is accessible to all.
Reproductive rights are fundamental to equality, and access to safe, legal abortion is a critical component of healthcare. We must also ensure that individuals have the healthcare, respect, and resources they need to bear and raise children if they choose to become parents.
In our fight for reproductive justice, I’m proud to be endorsed by Planned Parenthood Votes! RI and the RI Democratic Women's Caucus. These endorsements reflect my unwavering commitment to protecting and expanding access to reproductive healthcare for everyone in District 61 and across our state.
I believe that decisions about reproductive health should be made by individuals in consultation with their healthcare providers—not politicians. Together, we can build a future where everyone has the freedom to choose what’s best for their own bodies and lives.

Healthcare is a basic human right, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. Yet, millions of Americans are forced to choose between paying for healthcare and meeting their basic needs. This is unacceptable. That’s why I am fighting for Medicare for All.
Medicare for All would ensure that everyone has access to comprehensive healthcare, regardless of their income or employment status. It would eliminate the need for costly premiums, copays, and deductibles, and reduce the financial burden on families struggling to make ends meet.
By adopting a single-payer system, we can also reduce the overall cost of healthcare, streamline administrative processes, and negotiate better prices for prescription drugs. This would not only save lives but also free up resources that can be reinvested into our communities.
In District 61 and beyond, I am committed to advocating for Medicare for All because I believe that healthcare is a fundamental right. Together, we can build a system that prioritizes the health and well-being of every person in our community.

Transparency is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy. People have the right to know what their government is doing and how decisions are being made. That’s why I am committed to ensuring that government operations are open, accessible, and accountable to the public.
In our community, transparency means making sure that legislative processes are clear, and that information about policies, budgets, and decisions is readily available to everyone. It also means actively engaging with constituents, listening to their concerns, and making sure their voices are heard at every level of government.
I believe that an open government fosters trust and allows citizens to be active participants in the democratic process. By prioritizing transparency, we can hold our leaders accountable and ensure that they are working in the best interests of the people they serve.
As your representative, I am dedicated to upholding the highest standards of transparency and accountability. I will continue to advocate for policies that increase public access to information and make government more responsive to the needs of our community. Together, we can build a government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Every worker deserves to be paid a living wage that reflects the true cost of living. No one should have to work multiple jobs or struggle to make ends meet just to put food on the table or keep a roof over their head. That’s why I am fighting for living wages for all workers.
A living wage is not just about fair pay—it’s about dignity, economic stability, and the opportunity for every person to thrive. Raising wages boosts local economies, reduces poverty, and empowers workers to support their families without sacrificing their health or well-being.
In District 61, I am committed to advocating for policies that raise the minimum wage, protect workers’ rights, and support small businesses. By ensuring that wages keep pace with the rising cost of living, we can build a stronger, more resilient community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
I believe that all work has value, and that every worker deserves to earn enough to live with dignity. Together, we can create an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy few. Let’s fight for living wages and a brighter future for all.
